VICTORIA, British Columbia, June 16, 2010 – Frames N Panes, the home-based mobile franchise bringing its revolutionary new repair process to home and business owners, enabling them to restore, instead of replace, window frames, panes and screens, today announced that a new franchise, located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is now open. Mike Pirot is the franchisee.

“We are very pleased to welcome Mike to the Frames N Panes franchise team, and look forward to working with him to grow his business as he serves customers in Saskatoon, as well as Moose Jaw, Prince Albert and Regina,” said Cory Kohlman, founder and president of Frames N Panes. “The market has responded very well to our affordable, environmentally-friendly restoration and repair services that solve window frame, pane or screen problems correctly the first time.”

Customers enjoy the cost savings and convenience of the Frames N Panes franchisee coming to their home or place of business to make PVC frame repairs, remove moisture from dual-pane windows, or remove scratches from glass, plastic, acrylic, polyester and polycast. All of the services are performed using proprietary tools, materials and processes that can only be found through a Frames N Panes franchisee.

“Our franchisees recognize the benefit of offering products and services that are proprietary, in a new market niche that offers great expansion opportunity,” Kohlman said. “Another benefit is that our system is easy to learn and implement. Training is conducted over four days, and all beginning start-up packages include not only tools and equipment, but marketing materials as well.”

Frames N Pane currently has 12 franchises in Canada and one in the United States. Additional opportunities are available in both countries.

VICTORIA, British Columbia, June 2, 2010 – Frames N Panes, the home-based mobile franchise bringing its revolutionary new repair process to home and business owners, enabling them to restore, instead of replace, window frames, panes and screens, today announced the introduction of its proprietary scratch repair solution. The Frames N Panes system repairs scratches, scuffs, acid etching, graffiti and water spots from glass, plastic, acrylic, polyester and polycast.

“Our new scratch removal solution is the latest service added to our system that meets market demand and is exclusive to Frames N Panes franchisees. All of our tools, products and processes are available only through our franchise system,” said Cory Kohlman, president and founder of Frames N Panes. “Our new scratch repair solution takes anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour to complete, and we guarantee that when we leave, the damage is repaired, and that there is no distortion.”

Frames N Panes mobile service comes to the customer site to make repairs. Special tools are used in the repair process, which involves either a wet polish or a dry grind, depending on the length and depth of the scratch, which can be as deep as .015 of an inch.

The Frames N Panes scratch removal system can be used on automotive, architectural, tempered, marine and annealed glass, showers, mirrors, non-pressurized aircraft windows, head lamp lenses, camper caravan and boat windows, rear light units, aquariums, plastic windscreens, side windows, skylights and more.

Franchises Now Open in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan

VICTORIA, British Columbia, May 20, 2010 – Frames N Panes, the home-based mobile franchise bringing its revolutionary new repair process to home and business owners, enabling them to restore, instead of replace, window frames, panes and screens, today announced that it has sold its 14th territory, which includes Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, and Regina, Saskatchewan. The company has experienced rapid growth across western Canada, including Alberta and British Columbia, since selling its first franchise, located in Medicine Hat, Alberta in July of 2009.

“The reason for our rapid expansion is because we provide unique, affordable and convenient solutions for PVC window frame repair, dual-pane moisture removal, and screen and scratch repair, that eliminate the need for customers to remove their windows,” said Cory Kohlman, president and founder of Frames N Panes. “We are mobile, so all of our restoration and repair services are done at the customer’s location, quickly, cost-effectively and correctly the first time.”

Frames N Panes repairs almost any type of PVC frame damage, whether it’s a small brad nail hole, cigarette burn, surface scratch, router mark, hammer hole or from hail, and returns it to factory condition. For dual-pane windows, the company has developed a new technology for moisture removal that significantly reduces healing time. Frames N Panes can also perform a test on the window even if there is no visible moisture, to prevent problems from occurring. Window screens are repaired on site, and Frames N Panes now offers a scratch removal system that can be used on all types of glass, as well as on acrylic, polyester and polycast.

“We look forward to continuing to expand our franchises across Canada, as well as in the U.S.,” Kohlman said. “We are looking for franchisees who are aggressive, hungry for success, strong leaders, results-oriented and excited about long-term sustained growth. Our goal is to create a powerful brand while helping our franchise team members achieve success.”

I got the idea for my company back in 2005, when I purchased a company based out of Calgary, Alberta, which specialized in the repair of leather and vinyl in the automotive and furniture markets. After a major hail storm blew through Medicine Hat, wreaking widespread damage, an insurance adjuster called me. He wanted to know if I could repair vinyl window frames, because it cost thousands of dollars to replace even a small 2-foot by 3-foot frame. I didn’t have an immediate answer, but was soon able to find one that worked.

Over the next few years, I continued to refine the materials I used, working with different manufacturers to develop products that could withstand all types of weather extremes, from our harsh Canadian winters to the sultry heat of Florida and the rainy climate of the Pacific Northwest, as well as the specialized tools that I used in my process. Then in 2008, I began repairing and restoring vinyl frames full time, and was constantly receiving requests for Frames N Panes services throughout Canada. That was when I decided to franchise, which I believe is the best way not only to grow my business, but to enable others to own their own business as well. There are currently 12 Frames N Panes franchises throughout Canada, and one in the U.S., and we are poised to continue our growth across North America.

All Frames N Panes products, processes and tools are proprietary. No one can buy our materials or tools over-the-counter, and this is the cornerstone of the Frames N Panes concept. What we offer is truly unique, and I have not stopped trying to develop even more reliable, durable and cost-effective materials, tools and processes. I am also always working to expand the range of services Frames N Panes offers, and will soon be telling you about our new scratch removal technology that can be used on glass, acrylic and plastic.

What is Solar pumping?
Solar pumping naturally occurs during the change from day to night. Sunlight heats the inner airspace of the IGU (insulated Glass Unit) during the day and causes the window to pressurize, which forces out small amounts of air within the window cavity through the semi-permeable seal. In the evening, as the temperature drops, the window cools and creates a low pressure area causing small amounts of air to be drawn back into the inner window cavity. The air being drawn back into the window naturally holds moisture and this moisture is absorbed by the windows desiccant material.
